I thought I'd update this blog in the hopes someday I will actually have someone reading this! It seems like the time flies by and my plans seem to need to be adjusted all the time! Cassi and I are moving into a smaller place next week and as I sit here amongst all the boxes with our two guinea pigs on my chest (fabulous photo cassi took of our new one, "sugar baby") I have to admit, I never saw my life this way!

I am hoping to expand my photography horizons beyond the 20 years of in-studio portraiture I have. I want to shoot outside the box, on different continents and see things and have adventures I never thought possible.

I have the knowledge, the passion and need to stop making the excuses! Once Cassi and I move, I am going to post pics from previous sessions to give you a chance to see some of the portraits I have taken and give people a sense of what I have accomplished and what I hope to accomplish in the future!

If you happen to read this, thanks and keep coming back!

Why I love what I do!

I love reading blogs. It has taken hours of my time. I find myself drawn into other people's lives. It helps me see that the craziness in my world isn't so abnormal. My everyday issues are everyone elses everyday issues. I find that when I think my world is at it's craziest...reading someone elses blog soothes me!

I love my life. I love my family. I love my daughter more than I ever thought I could love someone. I love what I do for a living. I love capturing those moments in a person's life that are never EVER going to happen again. Think about it. I have taken one single moment in time and frozen it. I made that one moment stop. I captured it so that it can take on a significance in someone's life.

I don't know at what age my memories started. Are they my memories or a polaroid shot of a time and place in my life that someone captured so I could look back and know a little more about myself. My mom has pictures of my three sisters and I lined up at the entrance of Disneyland when we were kids. All dressed exactly the same. White tennis shoes, white shorts and blue and white stiped shirts. Do I remember this exact moment? No.

But I do remember my parents only being able to afford the ticket packages with only a few E tickets for us to use on the rides. I do remember walking down Main street and believing that my parents had brought me to the happiest place on earth. I still feel the same as I walk down that Main Street with my daughter in tow.

My mom captured that memory for me in that picture of my sisters and I. That image brings back memories that would have been stored somewhere in the back recesses of my mind. Thanks Mom for caring enough to share those moments with me.

I hope this blog will share a part of me with others. I hope to share my love of photography here and show those moments I have captured for someone else. Moments they can look back on and retain a piece of who they were at that one moment in time. Thanks for wanting to share a part of your life with me.
